Q. Which areas do you cover?
A. We are based in Hurstpierpoint (Prudent Pet Care Base), West Sussex and cover anywhere within a five-mile radius of the village, however we are happy to travel further afield at a cost of 40p per additional mile. In particular we commonly serve Haywards Heath, Scaynes Hill and Lindfield as well as more local areas.
Q. What experience do you have?
A. We have many years experience in caring for a variety of domestic animals - both within the family as well as those belonging to friends.
We are also registered members of the National Association of Registered Pet Sitters and are happy to provide references upon request.
Q. Are you insured?
A. Yes – As registered members of the National Association of Registered Pet Sitters we are fully insured although it is recommended that owners arrange adequate insurance for their pet/s to cover any costs incurred through vet fees etc.
Q. Do you provide boarding for pets?
A. No, we don`t currently offer this service. Your pet stays in your home while you are away – we provide the arranged care in this environment.
Q. Do you provide food/cat litter etc. as part of the service?
A. Not usually – anything that you normally use when caring for your pet needs to be available to us whilst they are in our care.
We ask owners to make sure that they leave adequate supplies of food/litter to avoid possible change in diet/routine for their pet. In the unlikely event of running out, we are happy to buy provisions at an additional charge – the cost of the item to be reimbursed by the client.
Q. What do you charge for your services?
A. This really depends upon what your particular requirements are. Please either use the contact form on our website, or call us to discuss your requirements, once we know these we will be able to give you a quote.
Q. Are you police checked?
A. Yes, we have undergone an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check.
This can be sighted upon request.
Q. Would you be able to draw my curtains while I am away?
A. Yes, of course – we are happy to provide additional services that help to give your home a lived-in look while you are away. Client requests include alternating lights, opening/closing curtains/blinds, watering of indoor plants, bringing in mail and basic security check, all of which we are happy to carry out for a small extra charge.
Q. Do you work on weekends and bank holidays?
A. Yes, though please note that much weekend provision is charged at double rate as well as bank holidays. In addition Prudent Pet Care can offer care for your pet/s on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day – these are charged at triple rate. |
